John Scalzi writes.

Most notably he writes science fiction novels, including Old Man’s War (his 2005 debut), Redshirts (the 2013 winner of the Hugo Award for Best Novel) and Starter Villain, his most recent novel.

But he also writes non-fiction, including five books of essays, two books on movies, and one book on astronomy.

He has a blog, a medium which was cool once and unfashionable now, on which he has been writing for a quarter of a century. He even writes for film and television, including episodes of the Emmy-winning Netflix series Love Death + Robots. When he’s not writing he’s taking photos and composing weird ambient music.

He lives in Ohio. Which is in the US. The middle part.
