Gunnar Birgisson
Gunnar is a lawyer and writer. He is the author (with artist Fannar Gilbertsson) of the graphic novel Huldufólk, a dystopian thriller set in the future of Iceland.
He is also the author of a graphic novel (drawn by Studio Kapi) set in India that will be published in 2026.
Gunnar is a regular columnist about Iceland for the newsletter of the West-Icelandic organization Icelandic Roots, and also writes frequently about issues in the United States for Morgunblaðið.
As a lawyer, he worked for many years at law firms and large corporations in Washington DC, but these days he spends more time volunteering for the homeless.
Fannar Gilberts
Fannar Gilberts is an Icelandic comic book author, artist and illustrator.
He has created and illustrated several comics, including Gen-01 and Landverðirnir (The Rangers) (with Úlfar Svansson and Dagur Lárusson), as well as the comic Huldufólk and short stories that have appeared in the magazine Myndarsögur.
