Úlfhildur Dagsdóttir holds a Masters degree in Comparative Literature from the University of Iceland. She works as an independent scholar and as a project manager at Reykjavík City Library. She has written and edited several books on modern Icelandic literature and popular culture. Among them are Myndasagan: hetjur, skrýmsl og skattborgarar, a scholarly history of comic books, and Sæborgin: stefnumót líkama og tækni í ævintýri og veruleika, an exploration of cyborgs in literature and symbolism. Úlfhildur’s main fields of interest are horror fiction, comics and cyborgs but she keeps an open mind for any other cultural matters that provide joy and thought.
